Tracey Mann — Republican Candidate for U.S. House in Kansas, 2026
Last updated: March 4, 2026
Tracey's Positions on Key Issues
Economy
HighTracey Mann supports policies to reduce federal spending, lower taxes, and roll back regulation, aiming for economic strength and prosperity. He introduced the First-Time Homebuyer Empowerment Act to allow homebuyers to use 529 plan funds. Mann also voted to advance the Rescissions Act of 2025, which clawed back $9 billion in federal spending, and supported a short-term funding bill. He believes high national debt and interest rates contribute to affordability issues.
“Kansans want a strong economy where people who work hard can make an honest living and succeed. We understand all too well the pain that reckless federal spending can have on everyday Americans, and how overregulation can exacerbate costs for American families. Congress needs to support policies that restore our economic strength by rolling back unnecessary red tape, lowering taxes, and reining in wasteful and fraudulent spending once and for all. We have an opportunity to usher in a new era of economic prosperity and growth for the country, and we must embrace policies that promote that growth, not stifle it. - Rep. Tracey Mann, Press Release, September 19, 2025”
Immigration
HighTracey Mann supports strict immigration policies, emphasizing border security and the deportation of undocumented immigrants who commit crimes. He voted to advance the Laken Riley Act, which mandates ICE to arrest and detain illegal immigrants who commit crimes until their removal. Mann views the national border as a crisis requiring aggressive action to manage unauthorized immigration and prioritizes rooting out individuals engaged in criminal activity. He also supports federal legislation for border security.
“Immigrants lacking documentation to legally be in the United States who commited a criminal offense in this country should be deported," Tracey Mann, Kansas Reflector, January 17, 2025.”
Healthcare
HighTracey Mann voted to advance the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, a measure he supported to fulfill campaign priorities including making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, securing borders, and reducing U.S. federal spending. He also led efforts to reintroduce legislation addressing the nation's healthcare workforce shortage. Additionally, he introduced bills such as the Modernizing Rural Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner Utilization Act, the Rural Health Clinic Location Modernization Act, and the Rural Behavioral Health Improvement Act.
““Without question, the country is a lot better off than when 2025 started,” Rep. Tracey Mann (R., Kansas) said. “The border is secure thanks to President Trump and House Republicans. Getting the One Big, Beautiful Bill passed and signed into law was important not just for now but for the future.””
Climate & Energy
HighTracey Mann voted 'Yea' on the Homeowner Energy Freedom Act and the Don’t Mess With My Home Appliances Act in February 2026. He also voted against a federal aviation safety bill in February 2026. Additionally, Representative Mann has supported clean fuel production tax credits, co-leading a letter urging the Treasury Secretary to finalize implementation rules. He stated that a lack of clarity has stalled investments crucial for American jobs and the domestic energy sector.
“This lack of clarity has left capital stranded, stalling investments that are essential for fueling American jobs and strengthening our domestic energy sector," from a letter led by Rep. Tracey Mann and other lawmakers to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, cited in advancedbiofuelsusa.info, "earlier this week" of February 2026.”
Abortion & Reproductive Rights
MediumTracey Mann opposes abortion access. She voted against H.R. 3755, also known as the "Abortion for All Act," in 2021. This legislation aimed to entrench abortion access in federal law and would have impacted state-level restrictions and policies limiting taxpayer funding for abortions. Her vote reflects an opposition to such federal codification.
Foreign Policy
HighRepresentative Tracey Mann voted for both the Fiscal Year 2026 Defense Appropriations Act and the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (NDAA). He supports strengthening national security and military readiness, citing "peace through strength" as a guiding principle. Mann also advocates for providing essential resources, including a 4% pay raise, to U.S. service members to defend the nation.
““Every day, our U.S. service members put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms,” said Rep. Mann. “I was proud to support our men and women in uniform at Fort Riley and around the globe by voting to give them a 4% pay raise, rebuild our defense industrial base, and restore merit-based standards in our military. More importantly, the NDAA better positions us to promote U.S. peace through strength while codifying several of President Trump’s executive orders that have put our military first again. I am forever grateful for the sacrifice our military and their families make every day, and this NDAA makes them a priority while restoring military lethality and morale for troops.” (Rep. Gun Policy
HighTracey Mann has reintroduced the RIFLE Act to protect gun store owners from federal policies, citing the undermining of Second Amendment rights and the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens. He co-led H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, to establish nationwide reciprocity for concealed carry licenses. Mann has also voted against several gun control bills, including H.R. 8, H.R. 7910, and S. 2938, consistently upholding Second Amendment rights for citizens.
“The Second Amendment is a load-bearing wall of our Constitution. If you weaken a load-bearing wall, you damage the structure, and the entire building can come crashing down. That is why I am proud to support legislation that upholds the Second Amendment rights of the American people. We can no longer sit idle and watch Washington Democrats attempt to strip away our right to keep and bear arms in pursuit of their progressive agenda. I will stand up against any effort to diminish or weaken the rights of law-abiding citizens to own, carry, and use firearms. Tracey Mann, http://mann.house.gov/issues/second-amendment”
